Without warning you came and stood
In the midst of us all
And with graceful charm as a hood
You thrived with the wherewithal

For once, a moment of desperation
The earth laboured and brought you forth
And even in moments of separation
The beauty would linger – all your worth

Friends come and friends go
But it’s their fragrance that lasts on
Forever a lasting memory to sow
The reminiscence is heavy as a ton

For why? The heavens thunder at the mighty storm
The oceans roar at the sound of the crashing wind
And the world, deviated from its norm
Resounds at the sight of thy feet so cleaned

As always, the multitudes can only wish you well
With all sorts of admiration in view
But with all of these, one can tell
The difference is you.
